I'm Anna Schatte, an actress and filmmaker based in Austin, Texas. You’ll usually find me feeding wild squirrels, hanging with my senior dachshunds, Helicopter and Bazooka, or recreating an '80s Tampax commercial — because I'm an adult and can do whatever the hell I want.
Working with Various Characters, a production company in Austin, I write and produce original shorts, pop culture parodies, and branded work. Our work has been featured in TIME, People Magazine, and Alamo Drafthouse’s cult-favorite pre-shows.
My first comedy feature script, PLEASANT CHILD, was the Silver Winner in the 2025 Southwest Film Festival Screenplay Competition, and previously a finalist at Austin Film Festival, The Script Lab, and ScreenCraft Film Fund.
I premiered my latest short comedy MAN-CHILD at Austin’s iconic Hyperreal Film Club, and I’m currently developing more projects, mostly as a way to stay off my phone and take a break from reality television. (Wish me luck!)
